東亞炒180人,大學生冇得撈?


最近東亞炒左百幾人,有唔少同學都以為Banking開結委縮,HeadCount會愈黎愈少,但係其實東亞炒既大部分都係Retail Securities Service既人。廿年前如果D人要買股票要打電話落盤,就係Securities Service既人做既,但係而家仲有邊個買股票會打電話?所以呢而家有唔少銀行都做緊Restructuring 去Cut Securities Service。 咁黎緊5-10年,香港Banking 仲會有D咩轉變?我地Predict未來會Cut Retail既Branches。其實係有跡可尋,好多Bank都鼓吹Digitalisation(e.g. e-banking Online Banking etc.),而恒生更開左E-branches做試點,E-branches既特點就係Scale較細,只有幾個Staff負責Self-Service同Handle Deposit,Enquires,Online Banking Application等等,當多大眾熟悉個System,恒生就會Expand呢個Initiative。因此黎緊會Cut retail 一D較為Low-end 既Staff (e.g. Teller, Admin, Operation果D)。 如果黎緊想入Banking既同學仔,我地都Suggest你地Target High-end既Department。其實大部分Retail MT Program 都會係做High-end 既position,所以影響唔會太大。例如匯豐同恒生,主要係做RM(Relationship Manager),至於Citi,DBS,BOC,做MT既時候有機會Rotate 去做Retail,如果最候係選擇Place係Retail果邊既話,就可以Target Strategy,Product Marketing,System Development 同Segment Team等等。 至於Commercial Banking,Corporate Banking同Investment Banking會唔會有好大影響?都唔會。
